The Kenya Dental Association last estimated that there are about 660 dentists in Kenya, with a population to dentist ratio of approximately 1:378,000. This is far less than the ratio of 1:5,000 as recommended by the World Health Organization.
We also have done many outreach dental missions with free “dental camps”, where we use portable dental equipment to bring dental treatment to a community for a designated time period.
Needless to say, there is definitely a lack of access to dental care in Kenya. This is one of the reasons why we have committed our lives to help provide dental care here. So far, we have built 10 dental clinics in Kenya. The majority of them have been donated to local NGO’s, and churches/ministries. Three dental clinics are fully managed and operated locally by our ministry, World Ministries International (WMI). Our clinics are operated by local Kenyan staff, licensed Kenyan dentists and Community Oral Health Officers.

Our main dental clinic is located in South C where we also have staff housing, a dental laboratory, a medical clinic and a medical lab.
We also operate a bible school called the WMI-Kenya Bible School in downtown Nairobi. We offer a certificate program and a degree program where students can obtain bachelor, master, and doctor degrees in a classroom setting through our DVD courses.
Mike is the department head of the benevolence ministry at WMI and also facilitates many projects, helping schools in the slums, providing scholarships to students and teachers to obtain their education, working with street kids and homeless people, helping orphanages, partnering with churches, and doing various projects in Kenya to help the poor and afflicted, and meeting with church and political leaders.
